Denogean: Hoping there's no distress call on May Day
The dialogue is already changing for the better. There will be no quick fix to illegal immigration. But changing the way the topic is covered is a start. The comments that have been made as a result of this story are a clear indication that people are finally looking at solutions rather than just yelling at each other. The biggest volley against our Thursday rally is that it won't accomplish anything and that we need to contact the lawmakers. If it had not been for the rally coverage in the story I would venture a guess that such comments and suggestions would not be made. I agree we do need to go beyond protests, but with the presence of the other side of the debate comes progress. So far with this story and the story in the AZSTAR spanish paper La Estrella which also gave mention of the Anti-Illegal rally and it's intentions we are 2 for 2 of equal media coverage. I hope to see everyone Thursday, it's going to be a great day!
N.Va. Hit With Cost Of School Migration
Speaking of no quick fix to the illegal immigration problem, it is clear that there is a long term fix. The reality is that when faced with less illegals comes less waste of tax dollars. This story is prime example of the benefit of less and the frustration of more illegal immigrants. I also believe it serves as a great example of how a forced attrition approach is the long term fix. They took the time to come here, they can take the time to go home. We just have to take away the reasons to stay.
WHAT CAN YOU DO IF YOU CAN'T MAKE THE RALLY? SPEND THE MORNING CONTACTING THE LOCAL OFFICIALS. LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!

Andrew's random video for Wednesday: So as I was getting my coffee this morning, I heard two very large sounding owls having a hooting contest in my backyard. I've always had a fascination with owls, so I figured for the video today, I'd do a search on 'owls' and see if I could find a cool nature video. Well... this is what I found. I hadn't seen this sketch in years - it's really funny, and I actually did a recreation of this in my high school drama class. So, I have no idea why it came up on a search for 'owls' but here you go:
