Gas stays below $4? It just looks that way

So these old non-electonic pumps don't go to 4 dollars. The question I have is - when is the last time you used one of these old school pumps? If you had to get gas would you use one if you drove into a gas station that still had them? I would imagine the places that have these pumps are in rural areas that are maybe somewhat lost in time. Let this serve as the example of how we all can make do and adjust in hard times. Its not like they closed up shop, they made the changes needed to keep thriving as a business.

Report: Robobugs Could Be Next Tool for War Time Soldiers

I get a kick out of seeing technology catch up with what we have seen in the movies. Now I am just waiting for PETA to come out and blame these robot bugs for what will more then likely be the needless slaughter of insects by the enemy who think they are being watched by robo-roaches.

Beware: Celebrity Endorsement

I was actually sad that Tom Hanks used the race issue as the first reason why he would vote for Obama. Honestly if someone wants to vote for Obama because he is black that is their prerogative. I am only sad because I thought Tom Hanks would have something more to offer. Yes I realize he is only an actor. I have watched several biographies on Tom Hanks and I actually have quite a lot of respect for him. Now I would never be one to say "I am never watching a Tom Hanks movie again". However I did expect a little more substance in his reasoning. Past election comparisons only serve to reenforce why I really feel Tom Hanks and many others want to vote Obama. It's not what Obama will do but what he represents in terms of something different, in terms of "Hope" and yes, "Change." Obama hung his campaign on the two things that were totally achievable with little effort. "Hope" in something different regardless of what it is. And "Change" because that is exactly what a black man in White House would be. Tom Hanks makes so much money it doesn't matter to him who wins. So why not support the guy that "could" be different. In reality, if he wins, the only change will be the name on the door of the White House. Obama will bring nothing but typical liberalism to the Oval Office. Stick to making movies Tom.

Andrew's random video for Monday:  We haven't had a music video in a while, and I've been on a classic blues kick lately... one thing you gotta love about You Tube is the rapidly growing archive of classic music performances - here's the king of electric blues, Muddy Waters, playing what's probably his most well-known song from 1971:
