Denogean: Protesters as offensive as Sheriff Arpaio

(SEE THE PREVIOUS DAYS BLOGS FOR ALL THE JOE ARPAIO VIDEO, INFO AND CONTACTS TO GET THE WORD OUT)
Kudos to Ann Denogean for her stepping up and covering what took place at the Joe Arpaio protest, even though she admits her dislike for him. Your efforts also got news coverage last night on one of the local stations. Whether or not Isabel Garcia is held accountable for her reprehensible actions remains to be seen, but what has happened is further exposure of the problems we face we here in Tucson. I have a hard time understanding the mentality of a person who thinks that it's "fun" and "fun for the kids" to beat up a likeness of law enforcement. Some of these kids by the way were 16-17 years old. From the article: "Garcia told me Friday that she thought the Arpaio piñata was great..."I think it's a fair expression of First Amendment rights. I thought it was funny. It had him with the pink underwear and, of course, his face. And it's a piñata. It was a fun thing for the kids that broke it," she said." I would hate to see what happens when she wants her little minions to be angry about something. These groups need to realize that the city of Tucson has tolerated their real hate and division for far too long. Whether its the agendas of members of our local government or the hate being taught in the LaRaza/Chicano studies, Tucson is waking up to the realities we face. If we don't want to see Tucson reduced to the likes of cities like Berkley and San Francisco, we must continue to let our voices be heard when faced with these tough issues.
'Satirical' New Yorker cover shows Obama as Muslim, wife as terrorist

Mocking seems to be the theme as of late. Whether it's any of the countless rants on varying themes I do, to the distigusting mockery display at the hands of the now infamous Pima County Legal Defender Isabel Garcia. Now comes the New Yorker showing Obama and his wife among all kinds of media storyline driven attire and room decorations. Now I seriously don't buy into most of these stupid "Obamagations " as I like to call them. I feel they are all distractions to a multitude of other problems that we have with Obama, least of which is the fact that he is a socialist leaning liberal. I do however always appreciate good satire and this was good satire. People need to move beyond their outrage in situations like this and realize the ridiculousness of what the New Yorker cartoon did. In my opinion this is actually a very positive for Obama in as much as it really goes to show just how stupid most of the "Obamagations" are, to those who look past the cartoon itself and see it for what it is. But sadly people are not all that smart and will see this as nothing more than hurtful to Obama. He is after all "Barack Black Eagle" and we should never forget that.
Andrew's random video for the day: Thankfully, someone has finally taken the effort to translate Joe Cocker and show the world his true artistic genius. Enjoy.
