Poll Finds Voters Split on Candidates' Iraq-Pullout Positions

I was afraid of this situation and it's one that was totally unavoidable. The situation is one that has us winning the war in Iraq at a time that favors the policies the left has been pushing. Now before you fall out of your chair allow me to explain. First of all we are beginning to see the media play up just how well things are going in Iraq. Our brave men and women have been doing an amazing job and we will win this war. Now we are hearing rumors of more troop withdrawals and timetables possibly being set. These are all great things in the grand scheme of things. However unless John McCain bangs the drum loud and hard that we are ONLY winning because we DIDN'T do what the liberals wanted us to do, the left will skew  the facts and take advantage of the success in Iraq to sweep Obama into office. If we did things the way Reid, Pelosi and the rest of the bunch wanted we would be looking at a catastrophe in Iraq. The country could have easily fallen into the hand of Iran and/or Al Qaeda. Instead we can now begin to look towards the future where we don't have to have the large amounts of US forces there. But the Dems have taken ownership the words "timetable" and "withdrawal" for so long that any time they are mentioned you can't help but think of the liberals and in the back of the minds of so many they will give Dems the credit. Bush and McCain cannot allow this to happen. We cannot allow this happen. The Dems in Washington staked their reputation on defeat in Iraq, we must not let them lay claim to our Victory!

It really is to laugh. Once again the left has resoted to name calling and labeling to covover up the fact that they really sepped in it. your phone calls and emails to Pima County Officials and local media don't represent the community. Are they kidding? Over the past year and a half where i have been keeping up with this issue i have met several hispaincs that have said no to amnesty, have said yes they sould come leagaly, yes they sould b kicked out. so many i have lost count. i ment 1 hispainic who supported amnesty and he dissmissed me as a "stupid Gringo". The hispanic community is not of one voice as "ms" Garcia and the star would belive. The silent majrity needs to speak out. come november some local politicians mihgt have to find a new job if they don't wake up and wise up
