Person of interest detained in officer involved shooting

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Police have detained someone in the shooting of Tucson Police Sgt. Robert Carpenter.
Officials tell us the person was detained Monday night at the Randolph Park Hotel, 102 N. Alvernon Way.
Sgt. Maria Hawke with TPD says no charges have been brought against this person.
Sgt. Carpenter was shot in the head early Sunday morning in the 4000 block of East Elmwood.
He is still in the hospital in stable, but critical condition.
