Man's body found in the street, police suspect he was run over

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - TPD arrived at the intersection of South Alvernon Way and 27th Street just after 12:00 a.m. Friday after a report of a man lying in the street, according to Sgt. Chris Widmer.
 
Once on scene, officers located a man lying in the northbound curb lane of South Alvernon Way who appeared to have been run over by a vehicle. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Widmer. 
 
Traffic detectives responded to the scene to begin an investigation. At this time, there is no information on the vehicle or the driver involved in the incident.
 
Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
