TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Good Morning Tucson will shine the spotlight on mental health, starting Monday.  

It is a week-long 9OYS Health Watch, where GMT will explore different aspects of mental health, including awareness.

9 On Your Side's Corinne Hautala sat down with Congressman Ron Barber to talk about his efforts to raise mental health awareness.

"We really have an opportunity to turn these tragedies into something positive for people with mental illness across the country," Rep. Barber said.

In the meantime, what's being done? Are those who seek help getting it?

Monday on GMT, starting at 5 a.m., medical professionals weigh in and explain how recent shootings in America are impacting the number of patients.
