Bridge icing, six-vehicle wreck causes traffic delays

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - ADOT is out with trucks due to either sanding or deicing the bridges along I-19 near San Xavier.

There are also multiple reports of wrecks on northbound I-19 at San Xavier. Callers to 9 On Your Side report slick road conditions.

Also, six-vehicle wreck on eastbound Valencia at Santa Cruz River Bridge (west of I-19). Bridge icing is also likely there. 

 

Northbound I-19 is very icy between Sahuarita and Tucson. Sahuarita PD is restricting travel by closing the northbound Pima Mine entrance ramp onto I-19.

Also, SR 86  (Ajo Way) is very icy near Ryan Airfield. There is one wreck west of the airfield, not blocking.

SR 83 (Sonoita Highway) is also icy near Gardner Canyon and a fender bender has been reported.
