Sally Pipes is the President and CEO of Pacific Research Institute. She is Canadian and provides perspectives on both the United States and Canadian Systems.
She begins to explain medical industry survey results due to the upcoming changes and how medical professionals are reacting. There will be cut backs of how many patients they will see, how many hours worked, and they aren't optimistic. This effects future involvement in the Medical Industry. Students are not clear on the changes with narrow subjective views from professors or limited health care industry representatives.
She lists how Medicare changes will effect the quality of service based on the cost with lower reimbursements to doctors versus private practice.
Justice points out how those that don't use very many health care services are not fully invested in research on the changes. Pipes expresses how Obamacare is a movement toward sociolized medicine and there are many people who want to repeal it.
Sally C. Pipes discusses the cuts and changes in Medicare are leading to a rationed care system.
Justice asks what can we do to Dismantle Obamacare?
It is going to get difficult to overturn it once its in effect. Pipes points out Obamacare is already three years in the making with deadlines coming within the next year. As it is very difficult to completely change it since it's already in motion, she encourages us to work to change parts of it. She cites we could repeal them. She explains specific current agendas with facts, legal changes, and covers local exchange issues effecting each state. She lists deadlines, data, and prospective factors that influence future care.
Pipes quotes President Obama's initial promises about Obamacare and the reality of what has happened since then.
