Arizona State Senator, Jeff Flake
Justice states Boehner said it was Obama’s idea back in 2011. March 1st is an upcoming deadline. Both agree, that statement does not matter with moving forward. It isn’t relevant to solving the problem before March 1st. Flake did not vote for the Budget Control Act in August.
“I felt it was a bad idea, but now we have to deal with it,” Flake said. In November, the house passed twice to avert it. A way to save the same amount of money, it would have taken it from elsewhere. He feels this is the direction they should go. Justice says Obama’s actions is not benefitting the country, but more about attacking the GOP.
“The President, [Obama] what’s frustration I,s he simply will not put forth a responsible budget that actually cuts spending.” Flake said, “…take it from mandatory spending or entitlements, but he will just not agree to cut spending anywhere.”
CR- Continuing Resolution
It’s probable to redirect cuts. Justice reads a news article listing amounts, departments, and the report says to cut border control Agencies do not want to be cut at all. The Bond markets are gonna force us to cut. Flake has not seen a bipartisan plan that’s acceptable yet. The Democratic side has not presented any spending cuts.
Justice asks what Sen. Jeff Flake thinks. Why we should do this is a rule of law we can enforce. He does not think that the changes have anything to do with winning Hispanic votes. He says Obama wants a pathway to Citizenships. He responds to a call on the topic of self deportation.
Gang of 8- 4 Democrats and 4 Republicans

A plan that deals with those already here.
