The Neal Boortz Show
Weekdays, Noon – 2:00 PM
Sunday 3:00 AM – 6:00 AM
Neal Boortz is informative, uniquely entertaining, overpaid and underrated. Boortz is an unpredictable talent with a fresh perspective on world events. He is a frequent guest on CNN’s Larry King Live, Fox News’ Hannity & Colmes and MSNBC’s Tucker and has yet to be caught short of opinions.
With Neil, you’ll hear all about politics, current events, social issues and miscellaneous topics of interest, which Boortz discusses with callers, correspondents and guests.
Boortz touches on many controversial topics and refers to himself as an "equal opportunity offender."
Boortz has received many industry accolades including being named one of the “25 Most Important Radio Talk Show Hosts in America” by Talkers magazine, and one of “Georgia’s 100 Most Influential People” by Georgia Trend. Boortz was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2009, marking him as one of the most durable personalities in the field of talk radio.
A 40-year radio veteran, Boortz began his career at WTAW-AM in Bryan, Texas, before moving to WRNG-AM, Atlanta’s first talk radio station. Boortz attended law school, passed the bar exam in 1977 and went on to operate a successful law practice until 1993, all while continuing to host a talk show. He has been broadcasting from Cox Radio’s WSB-AM 750 in Atlanta, the flagship station for The Neal Boortz Show, since 1993.
Boortz was named 2001 Major Market Local Talent of the Year and 2002 News/Talk Personality of the Year by the readers of Radio & Records magazine. In 2002 and 2004, he was a National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Marconi Award finalist for Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year. When it was published in 2005, The FairTax Book, written by Boortz and Georgia Rep. John Linder, debuted as the No. 1 non-fiction book on the New York Times Best Seller List. Boortz’s third book, Somebody’s Gotta Say It, released earlier in 2007, was also a New York Times Best Seller.
When he’s not on the air, you’ll probably find Neal playing golf or flying.
