La Paloma Family Services
Our Community Partner this month is La Paloma Family Services.
"We can do better!"
La Paloma Family Services provides shelter, counseling, guidance and assistance to Arizona’s at-risk children and families.
As of May 14, there were 4,019 children in foster care, an increase of nearly 1,000 from the same time last year, according to statistics from Pima County Juvenile Court.
As a community, we can do better for these kids.
These children also need support as they start the new school year. Donations can be made to assist in helping children be more successful at school. Every time a child is moved they lose about 6 months of their education. Since these children often have multiple moves, we need to have ways to assist them in staying on grade level, to complete school, and know that they have to opportunity to be successful.
Find out how you can help on their website; http://www.lapalomakids.org.
